Our friends Clay and Carolee came down for a visit with their son Benjamin. Lauren & Benjamin were in the same class at home. I think they really like each other, but they show it by fighting and bickering non-stop. Maybe they are the missing brother and sister that neither one has. Here is a sunset moment on Tamarindo Beach that maybe they'll remember some day.
Lauren's friend Benjamin getting up on the board. I think he wants to move.
Richard & Terri, and Gary & Nancy go surfing. Well, we all tried and the 4x4 looked really cool with all the boards on top. Unfortunately for us we are all over 40 or in some cases over 50.
Serious road work greets us. The main road up to our house is getting pavement. This is exciting. Rainy season starts in about 3 weeks; and sidewalks, curbs, and pavement are a welcome site. We drove this road last July during the rain and it was complete chaos. Of course it is complete chaos now too, but just with dust.
We will be back in Costa Rica today April 9th, after our layover in Miami. 2 weeks away was barley enough time to visit family, go through mail, pay some bills, and catchup on work, however it also seemed too long because Lauren missed an extra week of school, a field trip to the capital San Jose, and a bunch of other school activities. Our friends Richard and Terri are already in Costa Rica waiting for our arrival, so we will be playing catch up.
