Pirate Day
Yes. Last Friday was Pirate Day, because Country Day School is the home of the fighting Pirates. I thought we should add a beer to the getup, but Nancy said no-She did however consider a fruitie drink. All week was dress up day starting with PJ day, although no one wears PJ's because it is so darn hot. Then mixed up day, hippie day, red pink & white day, with Pirate Day rounding out the day

Finally a Deal
Got 2 rafts at the Auto Mercado. Yes, Cheddar will cost you 10 bucks, Peanut Butter will cost you 10 bucks, and Cracklin' Oat Brand with cost you 10 bucks, but these pool tanning machines were only $4.80, and no extra charge for the neon. Wait until I tell you about my glasses. Let me just say that in the USA it would take about 85 jars of peanut butter, here in Costa Rica, only about 27 boxes of Cracklin' Oat Bran for the glasses, and 1 block of Cheddar for the exam, but that's another story. I have pictures.

Glam Shot
It is so hot, not so humid, but so hot, that we have all been dressing like slobs. Today Lauren gets up, puts on her DKNY dress and combs out her hair. Guess we need to turn on the AC and take a picture, it is the 13th after all, and Lauren was born on the 13th, and in 9 years we have never missed taking a picture of her on the 13th. She will thank us someday. Oh yeah the AC - Got our first electric bill, $360 for 26 days, and we used the AC very, very, very miserly. Did I say very miserly? We go to bed by 8 just to be able to turn off the lights early!
